BEST DOMINATION OF A READERS’ POLL THAT ISN’T THE BEST OF THE SUNCOAST Libby’s Café + Bar, Best of SRQ LocalWe sarcastically dubbed SRQ’s Best of SRQ Local issue “The Libby’s Issue,” because of the way the relatively new Hillview restaurant was able to dominate the poll’s food and drink categories, winning seven out of 25. Here are some of the categories Libby’s didn’t win: Best Cup of Coffee; Best Omelet; Best Off-the-Beaten-Path Lunch Spot; Best Beer List; Best Place to Grab a Doughnut, Cupcak

It feels like a “lost” week around here in a way. Monday was a holiday here (not that it matters much to me work-wise since I work when I have a deadline and take time off when I don’t, but there’s the not-minor matter of not having to get up with the kids in the morning as they get ready for school!) Add to that the head cold I had for three days, which unfortunately came back yesterday and really, it feels like all I’ve done this week is loll around in the grip of cold medication that makes

As the Chinese proverb goes, “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.” La Cucina at the Market , a new space at the Reading Terminal Market specializing in cooking classes and demonstrations, has clearly taken this lesson to heart. Overseen by cooking instructor Anna Maria Florio , La Cucina offers classes in all manners of cuisine such that culinary morons, like myself, can emerge from the class with a few recipes up their sleeves, alon

The hard stuff Traveling. Not the fun part of travel (like figuring out where to get the weirdest
